At Humble Impact, I specialize in streamlining and automating fund reporting for Private Equity fund managers through the targeted implementation of Microsoft Power BI and no-code software from blue chip vendors, as an alternative to myriads of Excel sheets. The solution has been proven in practice, saving EUR 60k+ staff cost, reducing errors by 25%, and cutting reporting time by 40%. Other consulting services include more traditional PE investment management work across the PE value chain, including portfolio development, company value management and exit strategies.
As an Investment Manager at IFHA, a Dutch fund manager with USD 200m AUM, I specialize in investments in high-growth healthcare firms across Sub-Saharan Africa. Notable achievements include 5 investments, 2 exits, and 1 spin-off exit. I focus on strategy-building and digitization of portfolio companies and serve on the boards of hospital group C-Care and life science equipment distributor Labotec. Initially starting as an Investment Analyst, I joined InsurTech portfolio company CarePay in 2020 before returning as an Investment Manager at IFHA in 2022.
During my tenure at the InsurTech CarePay, I led the preparation for the USD 45 million Series A round in 2019, which became one of Europe's top 10 largest InsurTech rounds. After completing the Series A round, I established financial controls for the new international head office and developed plans for a decentralized, crowdfunded health insurance product. Subsequently, I internally founded CarePay Foundation and a related social impact-as-a-service product that digitally channels global donor funds to Kenyan pregnant mothers with an end-to-end audit trail and 85%+ funding efficiency.
Lead Analyst on USD 45 million InsurTech Series A fundraise, one of Africa's largest Venture Capital in history and Europe's Top 10 largest InsurTech deal of 2019. Involved in numerous investments, follow-on financing rounds and exits.
During my role at Medical Credit Fund, I analyzed healthcare debt and quasi-debt investment opportunities, developed business plans, and prepared investment proposals for ticket sizes ranging from USD 1m to USD 2.5m. Additionally, I led the design and launch of the digital "Cash Advance" product, which allows healthcare providers to get immediate access to short-term financing and which has disbursed over USD 100m in loans to thousands of providers to date.
